Halfway between Palermo and Agrigento, between golden wheat valleys, Prizzi dominates the Sosio Valley from its summit. The town seems to have origins among the Sicans, ancient inhabitants of the island, who, escaping the Roman invasion, fled from the Hyppana Mountain and founded Prixis around 258 BC. Over the centuries the town has maintained a certain medieval aspect, acquired in the period in which its power is imposed on the surrounding territory by passing under the rule of the Norman Matteo Bonello. In this area characterized by a tourist offer that ranges from archaeological itineraries, to food and wine itineraries, to purely recreational opportunities, the offer of our structures is realized, Misita and La casa del Poeta, different for their typicality, but united by the common tourist outlet . For both of our locations there is a shuttle service from the Falcone-Borsellino airport and a 7-seater SUV is available for hire at any time, for any possible itinerary desired by the guests. The gastronomic offer is traditional, at Km.0, besides being absolutely biodynamic; in fact the farm's vegetable garden, fertilized with manure produced on the farm, supplies all the vegetables and seasonal fruit, the water comes from a crystalline source inside the property, the milk is milked daily by the grazing cows extensively in the surroundings, the eggs and the meat are also coming from the animals bred on the farm or in the neighboring ones and the oil is produced with the olives of the estate. The cheeses come from a dairy plant located two hundred meters away. The surroundings overflow with archaeological and naturalistic sites but we note in particular a cultural and anthropological event of worldwide resonance such as the "dance of the Diavuli", which takes place during the Easter period (see National Geographic Aug.1995). At guests' disposal, surrounded by greenery and in the shade of the grove adjacent to the pool, a glass gazebo equipped for painting. Fans of horse trekking, or more simply walkers, will be able to mount the horses or ponies on the estate, up to a maximum of 5 riders at the same time. But the chance to doze lulled by the cicadas and stretched out on one of the hammocks suspended in the shade of the trees next to the pool, is perhaps the most "Sicilian" of possible experiences
