Museo di Palazzo Davanzati It is also known as a museum of the ancient Florentine house. It is indeed a stately home, whose construction dates back to the fourteenth century, which? it was bought by the Italian State in 1951 and completely furnished with furniture, paintings, objects, coming partly from Florentine museums and partly from purchases and donations. In addition to the furnishings, which faithfully reflect that of a Florentine house between the Middle Ages and the Renaissance, the museum preserves several collections of objects including an important collection of Italian and foreign lace and embroidery. The building ? currently under restoration and therefore partially open. You can visit the loggia on the ground floor, where some objects are shown, illustrative of the types of the numerous collections of the museum, the courtyard and, on the first floor, the huge hall, the parrot room and the small study.
